Inductaflex are in the unique position of being able to induction heat aluminium and form the profile whilst at an elevated heat.
Using an in-line linear induction heating line, sections are accurately heated to the desired temperature. Upon exit of the heating line the temperature is checked with a special pyrometer for aluminium. Failure to reach the temperature tolerance will result in the bar following the rejection cycle and re-heating. If the correct temperature is achieved the bar proceeds to automatic forming.
The bending is again unique, heated rollers ensure the typically cold steel rollers don’t hasten the cooling and create a hardened surface.
This is most suitable for profiles suitable for the aerospace, defence and scientific research industry.
Specialist loading equipment and polished hardened chro-mo rolls allow the successful bending of heated parts.
