A UK company has received the new 2016 model of the AL-3 flexible aluminium bending machine.

The new features on the machine include:

  • Electrically controlled support rolls for accuracy and control of twist of asymmetric sections.
  • Movable control panel to optimise the operator position during bending.
  • Increased touch screen to 15” to improve the experience with the CNC
  • The machine can curve aluminium extrusions up to 350mm high, thanks to longer shafts that provide greater flexibility.
  • Operators can accurately curve 300mm wide sections due to wider maximum centres and greater ‘day-light’.

The machine uses a fully electric drive system to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Operators can easily control the speed of each shaft and adjust them to accommodate different tool sizes.

A powerful 35-tonne hydraulic cylinder delivers the bending force, while the PLC accurately manages its position. As the hydraulic arm approaches the bending position, the system reduces the speed, resulting in what we believe is one of the most accurate machines available today.

TUV, a world-leading quality assurance group, can approve the bending machines for CE, UL, or CSA standards.
